How To Cut Business Costs With Employee Time Tracking Software

"Time" is the key word as it relates to money and software that saves and tracks time, increases efficiency and cuts project costs. Whether a company is small or an enterprise wide corporation, software that assists better time tracking, project time tracking and employee time tracking will ultimately increase your profits.

By reducing the time spent on time sheet data entry and project reporting, your organization will see cost reductions and productivity increases, which equals money saved. Understanding where each individual employee's time is spent and realigning that time as needed to best suit the needs of the current project is a major step toward greater profitability. Another important key to implementing great time management is the ability to move resources quickly between projects and tasks without effecting existing time entries.

The ability to access real time data on how any one or multiple employees' time is spent will allow you to make appropriate changes to reduce internal costs, realign project resources and time projections of project deliverables. Time is money! Time management and profitability are in direct correlation with how well time is managed and how well one can generate reports based on the numbers. This then reflects in the bottom line.

Having easy access to time management history allows your company to guesstimate (with accuracy) the man hours of a particular project, what that project will cost in labor and resources, the cost effectiveness of pricing, as well as effective quoting based on similar past projects.

Time tracking and project costing software applications should include time sheet software, time attendance software and time billing software in one easy to use graphic interface. Software designed for business intelligence reporting and including over 135 powerful reports and graphs in real time for time sheet management, performance management, project tracking, and project management will undoubtedly reduce waste of employee time and company resources.

DOVICO Software, which is compliant with DCAA, Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) and other quality control programs such as CMMI, COBIT and Six Sigma, will provide a software solution that delivers measurable results straight to the bottom line. This project tracking, project time costing and project time management software will provide real time informative data to shape your teams' production to full capacity. Training should always be easily implemented and user friendly in order to ensure employee adoption of the new software system.

A programs' adoptability rests in how easy it is to implement into your existing system with the least amount of impact on your business. The right software provides you with fast access to data, and should integrate with your existing software (example: Microsoft Project, QuickBooks & Active Directory). The right software for tracking projects and employees easily increases a company's productivity and the bottom line. The right software will give your company better control of time and that is a statement of power.

Employee value in the Software Development Company

Let us understand the employee value in the Software Development Company. Today these business units are looking for benefits all across the globe in such of work and Software Outsourcing. The resources in India are low-cost when compared to other Software destinations as China and Australia. The second benefit is the Fluency in English Language; where in China has yet not been successful. In the south-Asian country like India, we have specialized English speaking program and even special accent class is been taken by trainers.

Employee with very good command on the English Language is more preferable in Software Development Company. The firm looks both the loss and the profit due to such training program. The limitation of such training is that it is costly and time-consuming for the company. These trainings go on for almost 7 weeks and then again re-assessment is taken; and lastly only 7 out of 20 are recruited in the Software Outsourcing India. The first six months (differ from one software company to another), the employee is designated as trainee and then for next one year, according to the norms the employee has to sign an agreement bond.

Software Development Company withholds the employee

Agreement between the firm and the employee allows the Software Development Company to withhold the employee for long duration of course. The practical experience derived through practical approach in the Software Outsourcing Company is different from the theoretical knowledge the employee gained during his academic studies. Not every IT educated student wills to become a software developer but the basic knowledge of all the fundamentals helps the employee.

The small and medium-sized business however cannot arrange such training programs in their company, but yet the company in its small phase covers all the activities writes from programming, financing and administration, and the management controls the whole work process. Employers are given liberal wages according to the law of country. Software Development Company, continuously hire employees. The work projects from various Outsourcing Clients keeps pouring in with the help of the SEO in the <i >Software Company.

How the Three-File System Works to Save You Time and Simplify Your Life

Paper.

It's everywhere. And unless you have a simple system for "processing" it, it can overrun your office, kitchen, and home.

Before I discovered the three-file system, I had all kinds of files... maybe twenty or thirty of them, all with a different label.

Every month, I'd go through all the mail and bills and file the statements. Every piece of paper went into a separate file. Which meant I was touching dozens of files every month. Filing paperwork took way too much time, and I didn't like it.

Enter the three-file system. I can't remember where or when I heard about it. But I finally got so desperate (my study was beginning to look like a storage archive minus the filing boxes), I decided to give it a try.

Here's how to set up your three-file system.

  1. Get three hanging file folders and put them in your filing cabinet.
  2. Label the first one "File #1"
  3. Label the second one "File #2"
  4. Label the third one "File #3"
  5. Get a small mail organizer and place it where you open the mail.

Okay, when you've completed each of these steps, you're ready to begin using the system. Here's how it works...

Whenever you get the mail, adopt a one-touch policy. Either throw it away, shred it, or file it in your mail center. (I put statements in the large slot of the mail center and place payment slips with their envelopes into the small slot. I organize the bills according to when they must be paid.)

Now, do this for the entire month. When the month is over, take all the statements and file them in Folder #1.

During the second month, you will open and process the mail the same way. Then, at the end of the month, you will take all the statements and place them in File #1. All the paperwork already in File #1 gets moved to File #2.

During the third month, repeat the process. At the end of the month, all the paperwork in File #2 goes to File #3. File #1 goes to File #2. And all the paperwork in the mail center goes in File #1.

Got it?

During the fourth month, repeat the process again. Except this time, the paperwork in File #3 goes to the shredder. Or at least most of it. If there's something you must save for tax records or for a longer period of time, simply create a folder to store the "exceptions."

Here's what the three-folder system does. It simplifies your life and saves you boatloads of time. Instead of touching dozens of files every month, you only touch one or two. There's no separating or sorting. Five minutes and you're done.

I've been using the three-file system for about half a year now and I wonder... why didn't I do this sooner? Paperwork is a breeze now. The paper beast has been tamed.

Your action item: Go set up your three-file system now and begin using it immediately. It'll be one of the best organizational improvements you make all year.

The Three Step System for Real Estate Investors in the United States

Real Estate is traditionally one of the best investment vehicles available. Over the last century, investing in residential real estate and commercial real estate has proven to be one of the best ways to build wealth over time in the United States. And has outperformed just about every other form of investing over the longer term. What this has meant though is that the area has become increasingly competitive for would be real estate investors in the United States, and so it is increasingly important to be fully informed of the latest legislation, tax considerations and real estate investment strategies BEFORE dipping your toes in the water.

Here is the Better-News.info Three Step Real Estate Investors System to ensure that you are around for the long haul:

1/ Be ready to work with Real Estate Agents - Agents can either be some of your best friends, or your worst nightmare in the real estate game. You need to create relationships with them so that they call you first when a good new property comes on the market. They need to know that you are serious, and that you will actually follow through if they find you a property that appears to fit the profile you have described to them. This profile needs to be in terms of several different factors:

Price - The price has to be right for the type of property, the condition and the area.

Type - The agent needs to know if you are only interested in flats, six bedroom houses or commercial property. Be very clear with them about what you are seeking.

Area - The property can be just the right type. A great price, and in great condition. But if its in the wrong area, forget it! So make sure that your agent knows whereabouts you are seeking to buy property, so that you neither waste his time or yours in looking at real estate that you will never be interested in.

Condition - Are you willing to take on re-developments? Or are you only interested in new builds? Make sure that your real estate agent knows.

2/ Bank Owned Properties (also known as Real Estate Property or REO) ? Banks take back ownership of properties because the owner failed to make their mortgage payments. And this can be a real goldmine if you tap into it correctly. Make contact with all the banks in your area and get on their books to be informed when they have any re-possessions that need to be sold quickly, and hopefully for a very reasonable price.

3/ Door to Door Marketing - Door knocking is a lead generation, qualification, and development tool used by real estate investors for years to gather information, build rapport, and negotiate with the seller. Fortunately it is also a technique that you can use. Get some cards printed up and leaflet an area you want to invest in with them asking for people to contact you directly. You may be surprised at how many responses you get.

How To Learn The Rated Breakthrough System to Make Money Online

What is your dream? Like the homeless man told Julia Roberts on Pretty Woman,"We all have a dream." Is it to live in a nice home, pay for your children's education without going further into a debt, to take a vacation once a year without breaking the bank, or is it your dream to live Financially Free of burden and stress. We all have a dream and you can find your dream if you know where to Look

Unfortunately for some, their dreams get bashed on the rocks of scams that take advantage of people only tring to get ahead in the world. There are tons of sites on the internet today that offer "Get Rich" schemes ( and that's what they are, schemes and people buy into them thinking all they need to do is purchase a book or a progamme and they will become "Multi-Millionaires" overnight. Unfortunately this is rarely the case with those programs because they don't teach you anything they dont already know. They do not realise you are a savvy business person and you heard it all before..

Why do most people fail online? Why do they never make any money? It?s because they think about money first and about their customers last. They create a few pages, stuff them with affiliate links and ads and then they wait for the money to roll in usually they wait forever.

Here is a simple formula to build a successful money-making online business:

* Carefully research several niches before choosing a theme for your site. You should be passionate about the subject and there must be a hungry market for it.

* Start building valuable content for both, your site visitors and the search engines.

* Build more content, distribute articles, participate in targeted forums... this allows you to establish yourself as the expert in your field, to win the trust of your audience and to attract free, targeted traffic from the search engines.

* Add new marketing strategies. Publish an e-zine to build your customer base, to establishes yourself as the expert in your niche, to gain trust...

* Once you have a site of at least 40 content pages with at least 50 unique visitors per day, start monetizing: Add affiliate links, Google AdSense, sell your products or services...

It just doesn?t make any sense trying to monetize your site, as long as you have only a few visitors. Who do you want to sell to? Instead, focus on building more content, driving traffic, building your list...

Follow the "Content - Traffic - Trust - Monetize Traffic" formula and you can?t fail:

* Build valuable content for your visitors and optimize it for the search engines.

* After some time, the search engines will start sending you free, targeted traffic -- traffic that will steadily increase.

* Provide valuable, problem-solving information. This allows you to build a relationship of trust with your audience and they will be more than happy to buy your products, follow your recommendations...

* Ok, now and only now it?s time to monetize traffic: Place your affiliate links and Google ads, sell your own products...

Monetization comes last in the process of building your online business.. First, you should create valuable content, you generate traffic, you gain the trust of your visitors and only then it makes sense to monetize your site traffic.

If you aren't making any money on the Internet, it's most likely because you neglect one of the 4 crucial keys to online success.

DaimlerChrysler Cars To Be Equipped With BorgWarner All-Wheel Drive System

The Chrysler Group recently announced that their 2007 Chrysler Sebring and the 2008 Dodge Avenger will be equipped with a technologically advanced drive system. The said cars will be outfitted with BorgWarner?s Interactive Torque Management (ITM 3e) system. The technology will enhance the Sebring?s and the Avenger?s stability, performance and fuel efficiency as well. BorgWarner?s ITM 3e system is already being used by the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica and has already made a lot of good impression on the motoring public. The technology that the Sebring and the avenger will employ is only one of the torque management system products of BorgWarner and it is the latest technology developed by the said company.

Cindy Niekamp, the President and General Manager of BorgWarner TorqTransfer Systems, is pleased to provide another driving system for the Chrysler Group. ?We are proud to launch another front-wheel, all-wheel drive application with DaimlerChrysler, using BorgWarner?s new ITM 3e system. Niekamp also stated that with the successful integration of the system to the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica, it is logical for other DaimlerChrysler cars to use the same driving technology. The use of the system on cars enhances their traction, stability, and handling. All of which are vital to give a car a great fuel efficiency and superior performance not to mention keeping the occupants a peace of mind knowing that the car will not be prone to rollover.?

BorgWarner will supply the necessary hardware to the Chrysler Group to integrate the said system to their mass produced cars. Aside from the hardware components the company will also provide the needed electronic systems and software controls. The company will also provide DaimlerChrysler with the required vehicle integration support. These wares are part of BorgWarner?s commitment to provide the car manufacturer competent service. The integration of the said system to DaimlerChrysler cars will be a joint effort on the car manufacturer and the vehicle powertrain applications provider. With the necessary tools provided by BorgWarner and the competency of the Chrysler Group, it will not come as a surprise if the Chrysler Sebring and the Dodge Avenger come out of their assembly plants as finely tuned cars.

The driving system developed by BorgWarner uses technologically advanced controls to detect slip on the car?s wheels and effortlessly transfer power from the engine to the said wheel. The technology only needs a couple of milliseconds to convert both the Sebring and the Avenger from a front-wheel drive car to an all-wheel drive vehicle. This is just as fast as a Volvo radiator fan can respond to the radiators? cooling needs. The radical technology allows the Sebring and the Avenger to have great traction not only on the front wheels but on the rear wheels as well.

During high speed driving the system, without human intervention, such a system decreases the power being provided to the rear wheels. This innovative technology allows the car it is equipped with to have better fuel economy than other vehicles with an all-wheel drive configuration.

The system is not only convenient in the sense that it increases a car?s fuel efficiency, handling and stability. It is also developed to be compatible with other car safety systems. The anti-lock brake system can effortlessly complement the technology to provide better driving safety. Another vehicle system that can work with the ITM 3e system is the electronic stability that is featured on most currently mass produced vehicles. The use of the ITM 3e system integrated with both the anti-lock brake system and the electronic stability feature greatly increases the stability and traction of a car as well as providing safety and comfort to the driver and passengers of a car it is integrated to.

Glady Reign is a 32 year old is a consultant for an automotive firm based in Detroit, Mi. she is a native of the motor city and grew up around cars hence her expertise in the automotive field. You can visit Volvo radiator fan for more information.

Achieving Goals Through Management Systems

Many leaders understand the importance of achieving goals, but have little skill at motivating their subordinates to meet these goals. Often leaders in this position end up blaming the people they lead. Most often the fault lies with the leaders in ability to focus effort toward a specific result.

A thriving leader finds ways to focus effort toward their desired results. For example, the factory manager knows that they want to lower the number of accidents, but having fewer accidents is a fairly abstract concept. However the number of days since the last accident is a very concrete idea that is easy for everyone to grasp. It helps measure the concept of having fewer accidents in a way that is easy to comprehend and measurable. Many factories have found they can lower the number of accidents simply by making people cognizant of how well they are doing toward achieving the goal.

The difficulty is to find proper thing to measure. There was an IT department where the manager decided to measure the number of trouble tickets they closed each week. This metric was used as part of the employees? performance review. However, if everything was running just fine with no problems, there were no trouble tickets to close.

The employees began shutting down networking equipment for 10 minutes at a time, so users would open a bunch of tickets. Then they would turn the equipment back on and close all of the tickets. This increased the metric used for their review.

If an IT department is functioning well, the number of problems from system outages will be very low. The manager basically created problems because problems were what was being measured.

Making the metrics visible keeps people focused on the desired results. A skilled leader can identify the measurements of success and come up with innovative ways to make those metrics visible and easy to understand.

Restaurant Employee Tip Tracking Easier Through A Point Of Sale System

Restaurant Employee Tip Handling

The History Of Restaurant Employee Tip Handling

No one knows when tipping began. But we do know that in the 1980's the IRS levied new regulations on restaurant owners to track the tips received by the employees of the restaurant.

The magic number of 8% became the benchmark for servers and waiters to declare as their tipped earned. Not because it was accurate. Rather, because it was the minimum amount allowed by the IRS.

The trick is this. Tipped employees in restaurants are generally not paid minimum wage. The amount varies from state to state but it runs between $2.15 to $3.15 per hour. The IRS assumes that the tips received will make up the difference between this low hourly amount and the true minimum wage that is currently $5.15 per hour. If this is not the case, then it is up to the restaurant owner to make up the difference between what the tipped employee earned + declared tips and minimum wage. This makes accurate tip declaration, tracking and reporting a vital aspect of running a restaurant.

The Need For Restaurant Employee Tip Handling

You need a employee time clock system that recognizes tipped employees, tracks their individual sales, any charge tips collected and requires them to declare cash tips at the end of their shift.

You also need a employee time clock system that can handle tip sharing, tip pooling and tip out to bus help, bartenders and other servers.

You need a employee time clock system that will track the hours worked and tips collected and recognize problems with employees not declaring enough tips to meet the minimum wage requirements.

The Solution Of Restaurant Employee Tip Handling

Some point of sale software products have tip tracking built into their time in attendance module. Once you set an employee as a tipped employee the system will require tip declaration prior to clock out.

Servers and waiters who ring sales will have their total sales tracked. Tips collected through credit card sales are tracked and shown on the server closeout report. Prior to clock out the server/waiter will be shown their total sales, the charge tips collected and then asked to declare their cash tips.

Some point of sale products do allow for programming flexibility with this feature:

* You may change the minimum declaration from the default of 8%.
* You may change the requirement to declare tips at clock out.
* You may opt to have the system print a chit with their tips shown.
* You may opt to not show charge tips on the declaration screen.

The Benefit Of Restaurant Employee Tip Handling To You

How do you measure the amount of relief a person can have knowing that your point of sale system is enforcing tip regulations levied by the IRS? Not to mention the mass amount of time savings in tracking declared tips, charge tips and hour worked for every tipped employee.

This is one headache you don't want to have to deal with. If you have tipped employees you need a good point of sale system with tip tracking and time and attendance.Jerry D. Wilson is Director of Internet Sales for DirecTouch Restaurant Point of Sale. With over 25 years of hospitality point of sale experience, he has written several articles explaining the benefits of touch screen and retail point of sale software. Chronic Fatigue System - How Does it Affect Sleep?

Or to turn it around - How does improving your sleep lessen the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)?

Our aim here is to understand the connection between the two as it may be possible to confuse the symptoms of CFS and sleep deprivation. There are however definite differences.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Symptoms

Constant and persistent fatigue lasting 6 months or more

Feeling feverish

Sore throat

Muscle aches and pains

Tender or swollen lymph nodes

Joint pain

More headaches than usual

Abnormal lethargy after exercise

Poor concentration

Depression

Poor quality sleep

Although not everyone who suffers with CFS will display all of the above, two or more of these symptoms would definitely bear further investigation.

CFS often follows a bout of flu or other respitory disease. It occurs more frequently in middle age and twice as often in women as men.

CFS is a debilitating illness which is hard to diagnose due to the symptoms being non specific. Also the symptoms described by the sufferers often cannot be verified. For instance, patients often describe feeling feverish although their temperature is normal. Recent studies indicate CFS may in fact be an immune disorder.

There are medical practitioners who still believe it to be a disease of "malingerers". In fact some of those suffering with CFS often wonder sometimes if they are imagining their symptoms. But CFS is very real and can lead to broken marriages and wrecked careers.

It is very important for those who suspect they have CFS to seek medical attention straight away. If you feel your doctor is not taking you seriously, get a second and even a third opinion. It helps if you have been seeing the same doctor for some time, as they know you and can recognize that you are not a "hypochondriac" or a time waster looking for sympathy.

CFS is certainly not new, although the association of symptoms under the name Chronic Fatigue Syndrome only took place in the 1990s. Previously it was largely overlooked or thought to be something else, for example low blood sugar, Lyme disease, allergies, fybromyalgia, yeast infections etc.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Treatment

These vary from antidepressants, steroids, immune system medications and anti-histamines to the more holistic treatments like evening primrose oil, diet therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, removal of dental fillings (mercury poisoning) and gentle exercise programs.

Although lack of a definite treatment for CFS leaves a lot to be desired, the above treatments, whether all or a combination, can prove fairly effective. The broad answer seems to be to treat the symptoms as they occur.

Therefore the quality of sleep of patients must have a direct effect on the severity of the disease. If depression is the main problem, treatment of that can significantly improve the quality of sleep, thus relieving somewhat the persistent fatigue.

A combination of better quality sleep with gentle exercise, optimal diet and cognitive behavioural therapy would go a long way to improving the lives of patients with CFS.

Want to know how to have better sleep? Find out how. Check out http://www.insomnia-connection.com your resource for detailed information on better sleep and curing stress. The author, Wendy Owen, has had a lifetime interest in general and alternative health as well as being an ex insomniac!

Integrating Engineering & Manufacturing Bill Of Material (BOM) Through ERP Software Solutions

With ever-increasing movements in manufacturing toward a seamless integration of shop systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software has proven a viable solution to the problem of communication between departments. The immediacy of graphically-displayed (GUI), real-time data available to operators at the touch of a finger functions to reduce the amount of time and paperwork necessary to make job production run smoothly. However, one of the last vestiges of needless multilayer redundancy in the manufacturing system is shown in the very essence of the production system; that is, the conceptual and actual separations that exist in the engineering and manufacturing bills of material (BOM). While there are, of course, different types of bills of material dependent upon the department that generates them and for their intended purpose, the similarities of ultimate purpose found in engineering and manufacturing BOM?s is the basis by which ERP seeks to their integration within the engineering/production process.

Generally, a BOM describes the product to be produced in terms of its various assemblies, sub-assemblies, and parts. In addition to being a listing of parts, a thorough BOM displays these elements in hierarchical fashion with a master BOM outlining the list of components by broad reference and working its way down through the sub-assemblies and increasingly detailed constituent components necessary for the production of the product. For many ERP software systems utilizing GUI displays, this hierarchical mapping of BOM entry and inquiry is produced in what is termed an exploded tree view, whereby components as kids are easily traced back to their parents. As well, to the extent that BOM?s provide a knowledge of type and quantity of parts necessary for a particular job, they are vital to accurate purchasing and efficient inventory maintenance.

The problem regarding BOM?s in manufacturing is when the classic structure of the engineering BOM needs to be enhanced by the creation of a manufacturing BOM for actual production. In the past, wasteful amounts of paperwork were needed to describe the production in terms of routers?especially when it came to the inclusion of data such as phantom parts. In addition, any engineering change order (ECO) that affects material ordering, purchasing, inventory or any number of other departments could cause great delays in production as they thus affect the manufacturing BOM. In short, the classic separation of engineering and manufacturing BOM?s (where quoting is always in the middle) necessitates the additional step of reorganization of the assembly router.

With ERP software, engineering and manufacturing BOM?s are now integrated to eliminate such reorganization and the need for an additional BOM for manufacturing itself. Tooling information is included directly into the router from engineering as the different tree levels are controlled in ERP software under a single dispatch list. In addition, ECO?s are automatically updated within the GUI and without additional paperwork. In the more robust ERP software systems, the engineering BOM is backward scheduled on the shop floor for more accurate assembly instructions. However, perhaps the greatest benefit of all in the use of ERP to integrate engineering and manufacturing BOM?s is that of a single-system organizational communication structure. Now, engineering and manufacturing are finally working together on the same page, resulting gained efficiencies in direct production costs (such as inventory management) and reduced waste in various in-direct costs (such as off-production labor time).
