Employee value in the Software Development Company

Let us understand the employee value in the Software Development Company. Today these business units are looking for benefits all across the globe in such of work and Software Outsourcing. The resources in India are low-cost when compared to other Software destinations as China and Australia. The second benefit is the Fluency in English Language; where in China has yet not been successful. In the south-Asian country like India, we have specialized English speaking program and even special accent class is been taken by trainers.

Employee with very good command on the English Language is more preferable in Software Development Company. The firm looks both the loss and the profit due to such training program. The limitation of such training is that it is costly and time-consuming for the company. These trainings go on for almost 7 weeks and then again re-assessment is taken; and lastly only 7 out of 20 are recruited in the Software Outsourcing India. The first six months (differ from one software company to another), the employee is designated as trainee and then for next one year, according to the norms the employee has to sign an agreement bond.

Software Development Company withholds the employee

Agreement between the firm and the employee allows the Software Development Company to withhold the employee for long duration of course. The practical experience derived through practical approach in the Software Outsourcing Company is different from the theoretical knowledge the employee gained during his academic studies. Not every IT educated student wills to become a software developer but the basic knowledge of all the fundamentals helps the employee.

The small and medium-sized business however cannot arrange such training programs in their company, but yet the company in its small phase covers all the activities writes from programming, financing and administration, and the management controls the whole work process. Employers are given liberal wages according to the law of country. Software Development Company, continuously hire employees. The work projects from various Outsourcing Clients keeps pouring in with the help of the SEO in the <i >Software Company.

Each Software Outsourcing India Contributes its specialty to the company. Each firm is unique when analyzing of the written script given by the client overseas. The programmer analyst in the Software Development Company has nearly an experience of two to three years in analyzing. His duties are respectively different from the employees. Yes, there is close relationship between the colleagues, but each employee has special role to contribute to the company. This engulfs the employee to find immense satisfaction with the job provided and the employee remains bonded with the company. These characteristics of the industry add value to human life.

Employee Management Using Right Type of Payroll Software

There are many different types of payroll software that you can buy to help you manage the payroll of your company. These payroll software packages are even further broken down into the specifics of your company. For instance, if you have a company that is a part of the entertainment industry you'll want to have a payroll system that keeps track of the information that is unique to your industry. You'll need payroll software that will keep track of union information, meal penalties, and credits. The software that you use will calculate time sheets according to industry standards, including hours worked, any advances, or other adjustments. From these timesheets you'll be able to see exactly how much each employee is paid. From there it's up to you to pay your employees.

If you have a large company, or you just don't feel confident, you can hire a payroll service to calculate all your payroll information for you. This may cost you a bit more than if you do the work yourself using payroll software, however if your company is large enough you may find that the hours spent inputting payroll information simply takes you too long to do yourself. Both options are viable for you and your company and will give you the accurate payroll results that you need to correctly pay your employees and to keep the precise records that you need to keep.

One thing to keep in mind when you're using payroll software: if you're going to have the software installed on more than one computer you're going to have to make sure that you have more than one license for the software. This may cost you a bit more in the initial startups costs but in the long run could be more beneficial if you want to be able to enter payroll information on more than one computer.

How the Three-File System Works to Save You Time and Simplify Your Life

Paper.

It's everywhere. And unless you have a simple system for "processing" it, it can overrun your office, kitchen, and home.

Before I discovered the three-file system, I had all kinds of files... maybe twenty or thirty of them, all with a different label.

Every month, I'd go through all the mail and bills and file the statements. Every piece of paper went into a separate file. Which meant I was touching dozens of files every month. Filing paperwork took way too much time, and I didn't like it.

Enter the three-file system. I can't remember where or when I heard about it. But I finally got so desperate (my study was beginning to look like a storage archive minus the filing boxes), I decided to give it a try.

Here's how to set up your three-file system.

  1. Get three hanging file folders and put them in your filing cabinet.
  2. Label the first one "File #1"
  3. Label the second one "File #2"
  4. Label the third one "File #3"
  5. Get a small mail organizer and place it where you open the mail.

Okay, when you've completed each of these steps, you're ready to begin using the system. Here's how it works...

Whenever you get the mail, adopt a one-touch policy. Either throw it away, shred it, or file it in your mail center. (I put statements in the large slot of the mail center and place payment slips with their envelopes into the small slot. I organize the bills according to when they must be paid.)

Now, do this for the entire month. When the month is over, take all the statements and file them in Folder #1.

During the second month, you will open and process the mail the same way. Then, at the end of the month, you will take all the statements and place them in File #1. All the paperwork already in File #1 gets moved to File #2.

During the third month, repeat the process. At the end of the month, all the paperwork in File #2 goes to File #3. File #1 goes to File #2. And all the paperwork in the mail center goes in File #1.

Got it?

During the fourth month, repeat the process again. Except this time, the paperwork in File #3 goes to the shredder. Or at least most of it. If there's something you must save for tax records or for a longer period of time, simply create a folder to store the "exceptions."

Here's what the three-folder system does. It simplifies your life and saves you boatloads of time. Instead of touching dozens of files every month, you only touch one or two. There's no separating or sorting. Five minutes and you're done.

I've been using the three-file system for about half a year now and I wonder... why didn't I do this sooner? Paperwork is a breeze now. The paper beast has been tamed.

Your action item: Go set up your three-file system now and begin using it immediately. It'll be one of the best organizational improvements you make all year.

The Three Step System for Real Estate Investors in the United States

Real Estate is traditionally one of the best investment vehicles available. Over the last century, investing in residential real estate and commercial real estate has proven to be one of the best ways to build wealth over time in the United States. And has outperformed just about every other form of investing over the longer term. What this has meant though is that the area has become increasingly competitive for would be real estate investors in the United States, and so it is increasingly important to be fully informed of the latest legislation, tax considerations and real estate investment strategies BEFORE dipping your toes in the water.

Here is the Better-News.info Three Step Real Estate Investors System to ensure that you are around for the long haul:

1/ Be ready to work with Real Estate Agents - Agents can either be some of your best friends, or your worst nightmare in the real estate game. You need to create relationships with them so that they call you first when a good new property comes on the market. They need to know that you are serious, and that you will actually follow through if they find you a property that appears to fit the profile you have described to them. This profile needs to be in terms of several different factors:

Price - The price has to be right for the type of property, the condition and the area.

Type - The agent needs to know if you are only interested in flats, six bedroom houses or commercial property. Be very clear with them about what you are seeking.

Area - The property can be just the right type. A great price, and in great condition. But if its in the wrong area, forget it! So make sure that your agent knows whereabouts you are seeking to buy property, so that you neither waste his time or yours in looking at real estate that you will never be interested in.

Condition - Are you willing to take on re-developments? Or are you only interested in new builds? Make sure that your real estate agent knows.

2/ Bank Owned Properties (also known as Real Estate Property or REO) ? Banks take back ownership of properties because the owner failed to make their mortgage payments. And this can be a real goldmine if you tap into it correctly. Make contact with all the banks in your area and get on their books to be informed when they have any re-possessions that need to be sold quickly, and hopefully for a very reasonable price.

3/ Door to Door Marketing - Door knocking is a lead generation, qualification, and development tool used by real estate investors for years to gather information, build rapport, and negotiate with the seller. Fortunately it is also a technique that you can use. Get some cards printed up and leaflet an area you want to invest in with them asking for people to contact you directly. You may be surprised at how many responses you get.

How To Learn The Rated Breakthrough System to Make Money Online

What is your dream? Like the homeless man told Julia Roberts on Pretty Woman,"We all have a dream." Is it to live in a nice home, pay for your children's education without going further into a debt, to take a vacation once a year without breaking the bank, or is it your dream to live Financially Free of burden and stress. We all have a dream and you can find your dream if you know where to Look

Unfortunately for some, their dreams get bashed on the rocks of scams that take advantage of people only tring to get ahead in the world. There are tons of sites on the internet today that offer "Get Rich" schemes ( and that's what they are, schemes and people buy into them thinking all they need to do is purchase a book or a progamme and they will become "Multi-Millionaires" overnight. Unfortunately this is rarely the case with those programs because they don't teach you anything they dont already know. They do not realise you are a savvy business person and you heard it all before..

Why do most people fail online? Why do they never make any money? It?s because they think about money first and about their customers last. They create a few pages, stuff them with affiliate links and ads and then they wait for the money to roll in usually they wait forever.

Here is a simple formula to build a successful money-making online business:

* Carefully research several niches before choosing a theme for your site. You should be passionate about the subject and there must be a hungry market for it.

* Start building valuable content for both, your site visitors and the search engines.

* Build more content, distribute articles, participate in targeted forums... this allows you to establish yourself as the expert in your field, to win the trust of your audience and to attract free, targeted traffic from the search engines.

* Add new marketing strategies. Publish an e-zine to build your customer base, to establishes yourself as the expert in your niche, to gain trust...

* Once you have a site of at least 40 content pages with at least 50 unique visitors per day, start monetizing: Add affiliate links, Google AdSense, sell your products or services...

It just doesn?t make any sense trying to monetize your site, as long as you have only a few visitors. Who do you want to sell to? Instead, focus on building more content, driving traffic, building your list...

Follow the "Content - Traffic - Trust - Monetize Traffic" formula and you can?t fail:

* Build valuable content for your visitors and optimize it for the search engines.

* After some time, the search engines will start sending you free, targeted traffic -- traffic that will steadily increase.

* Provide valuable, problem-solving information. This allows you to build a relationship of trust with your audience and they will be more than happy to buy your products, follow your recommendations...

* Ok, now and only now it?s time to monetize traffic: Place your affiliate links and Google ads, sell your own products...

Monetization comes last in the process of building your online business.. First, you should create valuable content, you generate traffic, you gain the trust of your visitors and only then it makes sense to monetize your site traffic.

If you aren't making any money on the Internet, it's most likely because you neglect one of the 4 crucial keys to online success.

Treatment Of Inflammation And Chronic Systemic Inflammation

Inflammation is one of the body's essential defense mechanisms and plays a vital role in protecting us against microbial attack, external and internally-produced toxins, as well as damaged and diseased cells and tissues.

Unfortunately, the inflammatory process is inherently destructive and both acute and chronic inflammation may cause damage to healthy tissues.

Typically, the longer the inflammatory process lasts, the more damage it does to the tissues involved. In the case of a local infection, inflammatory damage often manifests itself as scar tissue and if a wound becomes infected or fails to heal quickly, it will leave more scar tissue than it would have had it healed normally.

Similar but less visible processes are at work in a more sinister process called chronic systemic inflammation that can cause widespread damage to a range of different tissue types and which ultimately leads to specific disease entities.

Chronic systemic inflammation is a low-grade, pervasive form of inflammation that has been implicated as a major causative factor for several serious chronic diseases.

Although chronic systemic inflammation and local, acute inflammation share the same biochemical processes, the former is not restricted to a specific tissue or organ, but instead involves the endothelial lining of blood vessels and several other tissue types.

As a result the disruptive effects of chronic systemic inflammation are far reaching, causing damage to the cardiovascular, nervous, endocrine and other systems. This damage may, in turn, precipitate or exacerbate a wide variety of other pathological processes.

Chronic systemic inflammation is, for example, closely implicated in the development of insulin resistance ? and thereby metabolic syndrome and diabetes.

Damage to the arterial lining and the subsequent development of heart disease has also been linked to chronic systemic inflammation which has also been implicated in some forms of depression and even sleep disorders.

Causes of Chronic Systemic Inflammation

? Obesity: Several substances involved in the inflammatory response are produced in adipose tissue. Central, abdominal fat is involved in the production of excessive amounts of pro-inflammatory cytokines and other markers of inflammation.

? Infections: Chronic infections like kidney or bladder infections, gall bladder infection, chronic tonsillitis, diverticular disease; chronic viral diseases like hepatitis, HIV, cytomegalovirus and infectious mononucleosis or any other chronic infection such as Lyme disease or brucellosis.

? Periodontal Disease: Periodontal infection is believed to be one of the major causes of chronic systemic inflammation. Dental plaque is often responsible for initiating periodontal disease by releasing bacterial and protein toxins, and organic acids that contribute to a low-grade chronic systemic inflammation in tissues far from the mouth. The treatment of periodontal disease can actually reverse some of the damage done to the endothelial lining of the arteries.

? Environmental Toxins, Drugs and Tobacco: Most foreign substances can trigger an inflammatory response. This is probably one of the reasons that smoking tobacco is associated with an increased risk for heart disease and stroke. Inflammation in response to tobacco toxins is known to cause damage to the arterial endothelium, thereby aggravating the development of atherosclerosis.

? Autoimmune Diseases: Autoimmune diseases are pathological conditions where the immune system reacts inappropriately to normal tissues. These conditions, which include rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, vary widely in their intensity and usually precipitate serious inflammatory-mediated tissue damage.

Spices and Chronic Systemic Inflammation

The first step in dealing with chronic systemic inflammation is to find and treat the cause of the inflammation. This may require improving dental hygiene, stopping smoking or losing weight. Such interventions can be dramatically augmented by the consumption of spices, several of which have powerful anti-inflammatory effects.

Among the most potent of these are bay leaf, garlic, ginger oregano, rosemary, thyme and turmeric. Other spices, in particular black pepper and garlic, counteract chronic systemic inflammation by modulating the immune system thereby limiting the excessive production of pro-inflammatory cytokines.

Furthermore, as many of the causes of chronic systemic inflammation are associated with oxidative stress, the antioxidants found in most spices help control this condition too. In short, spices have all the attributes required to minimize the impact on our health of the insidious, destructive and potentially lethal effects of this destructive inflammatory process.

Dr Keith Scott is a medical doctor with a special interest in nutrition and complementary therapies. He has written several books including "Medicinal Seasonings, The Healing Power of Spices" and "Natural Home Pharmacy". How To Navigate Through The US Social Security Disability System

When faced with the decision of applying for Social Security Disability, several factors should be kept in mind. Aside from the fact that the specific reasons you are applying for Disability makes your situation unique, there are a number of commonalities that need to be considered for all cases. I?m also assuming that your case is legitimate and not a claim based on maligning or simply an attempt not to work. The idea is to make your case as strong as possible and avoid the traps that the Social Security System specifically sets to deny your request for benefits.

Social Security, from the perspective of the administrators of this social service, doesn?t want to make it easy for you to get disability. Their reasoning goes that unless you are not capable of ANY type of work, they will not approve your application. The statistics show that most people who apply are turned down the first time they apply for benefits, regardless of their legitimate need. So it is up to you to appeal and continue to appeal regardless of how many times you are refused.

The process begins with an appointment at your local Social Security Office, after you have made your first telephone call to the general SS office (1-800-772-1213). They will send you forms (by mail) to be completed by your personal physician, with any documentation that supports your claim for total disability (regardless of your profession), with an appointment date and location.

When you go, don't dress up. In fact, dress down. Take all your prescription medications (which you will be asked to document), put them all in a shopping bag and bring them with you, as opposed to a list of medications. It?s far better to take the bottles because it makes your claim that much more tangible.

If you are going alone, go by cab and get a receipt. If you live in a city, you will be asked how you came to the office. They reason that if you can negotiate the public transportation system, then you can work. Show them the receipt. This is especially true if you live in a large city like NYC which has a fairly accessible public transportation system.

They will do all the lab-work at this appointment, take blood, urine, x-rays or other procedures they feel are warranted. You will also see one of their physicians who will examine you and verify your claim. If you have any hospital x-rays or documents from previous hospitalizations, bring them to show the doctor. This appointment is the place to bring all ?the stuff? you have to support your claim. It is your responsibility to make sure you present as strong a case as possible.

You will also see a psychiatrist who will question you on the impact this disability has had on your life and your ability to work at ANY job. You will be asked questions like, how much weight you can lift, can you do your own housework, can you take care of yourself, such as dressing, washing yourself. All sorts of things to see if you have any capability whatsoever to do ANY sort of work, or do anything independently. So, how you answer these questions will determine whether your request is approved or denied.

Another important question they will ask you is if you can type, do you have a computer. The idea here is that if you are capable of typing or using a computer then you can do some type of work. You need to anticipate the motives of each question you are being asked and be very careful to not do anything to jeopardize your claim. If you?re not sure what they are asking, you can always (depending on your claim), say you don?t understand, you don?t remember what they asked, or you didn?t hear them.

When you apply for Social Security Disability, it?s presumably because your claim is real, and you need it because your disability has affected your way of life, the quality of your life and you are not able to work. These pointers are to make your case as strong as possible. It?s not to lie or to make a claim that is not legitimate, but remember that Social Security measures your disability by your ability to do any work at all. They will use this criterion to question you and will not hesitate to use your answers to refuse your case no matter how real and legitimate your disability is. About ten days to two weeks after filing your claim, you will receive a response. It will be either an approval or a denial. If it?s denied, appeal, appeal, and appeal. Most times when you appeal, it will be approved, but they won?t make it easy. If you?re in real need of benefits, don't give up and don?t get discouraged by the first denial.

Roadmap For Implementation Of An EHR System At A Practice

From an Information Technology point of view, there are six stages in the implementation road map.

Stage 1:Assessment
Stage 2:Planning
Stage 3:Selection
Stage 4:Implementation
Stage 5:Evaluation
Stage 6:Improvement

Lets examine each stage and develop the frame work of a road map.

Stage 1:Assessment

A Project team represented by staff with the appropriate skills is formed and regular team meetings are conducted. These team meetings continue through out the the six stages.

The first stage Assessment helps prepare the practice for the implementation by completing a Practice Readiness Assessment, This includes The profile of the Practice in terms of IT, assessment of Office staff usually conducted as an assessment Survey. A Hardware requirement analysis is also carried out at this stage."

Stage 2:Planning

The practice data collected in the previous stage (Practice Readiness Assessment, Practice profile (IT)& Office staff skills survey)is carefully reviewed and based on this, the electronic health records implementation goals are defined and improvement opportunities are identified and targeted.

Stage 3:Selection

Based on the above defined Implementation plan, the EHR system's requirements is defined. This will cover the EHR system configuration and a selection process and details of the goals that are archived based on the selection. The EHR system is selected in this stage.

Stage 4:Implementation

An EHR system implementation plan is created and the time lines for the implentation is agreed upon with the vendor. The implementation plan includes details on Intallation and configuration of Hardware and EHR system software. Staff training program is initiated and System testing follows. The staff begin to use the EHR system. A journal of experience and processes is maintained.

Stage 5:Evaluation

A post implementation review is condcuted and the Journal of experience/ processes is updated. The perfomance measures created during the planning phase are validated and a improvement plan is prepared.

Stage 6:Improvement

During this phase the EHR is modified to resolve issues encountered during the evaluation phase. Improvements as defined in the improvement plan are carried out.

Change Begins from Within Through Paradigm Shifts to Your Belief System

Many individuals and that includes organizations which are just groups of individuals united to achieve specific goals continually seek new answers to this centuries old question: How do I change?

With today's generation having more change in one year than their grandparent's experienced in their entire lifetime, learning how to deal with change is critical to personal and organizational success. This is called change management. Yet, change is still a challenge even for those who think that they have open minds.

For example, can you explain the logic of these numbers?

8 5 4 9 7 6 3 2 0

What is going through your mind? Are you adding, subtracting, multiplying to determine the logical sequence? As a business coach and change management consultant, this is one of most favorite activities that I use with my clients from young people to executive board members.

What this activity quickly demonstrates is that the paradigms we use to solve problems with an an individual or as an organization force us in some cases to expend a lot of energy as well as emotions without a satisfactory answer. However, when we change how we see things, the things we look at will change.

This change happens because we have changed within ourselves. Outside forces from motivational speakers to the newest video such as The Secret only provide opportunities to see things differently.

Since we are the way we are because of years of experiences that have further solidify our foundational belief systems, we should not expect change to happen overnight. Change takes time just like reading a positive affirmation statement or what I call a belief statement. When those written statements are read out loud, heard and felt at least three times each day, we can begin to switch our negative beliefs or attitudes for positive ones. Remember, first, we must be the change that we are seeking.

P.S. If you cannot answer the above question, just send me an email or give me a call.

Business Success through Systems

Businesses need systems, and small business needs them even more to thrive and grow bigger and operate successfully. The entrepreneur who started the small business perhaps knows a lot, having conceived it, built a small business plan within his mind, nurtured it and brought it to shape, but to take the company forward he/she has the imperative need to convey his vision to the others, and here comes the key role of the business plans or systems.

The small business naturally is centered around a small team, who necessarily have to know and work towards goals both short term and long. Each member?s role should synchronize with the others, and lead the business towards success. No business owner can be expected to remain static, stay put in his/her enterprise for months, or years, - it is natural to want to grow, acquire more, develop and widen his life and the business. Thus the small business owner has to necessarily put a formal system in place, which is expected to spell out the ways to run the business even if he/she were to go away, on other assignments or holiday or whatever.

The System:

Well-developed systems are synonymous with the CPU of our desktop or laptop; the mouse, the screen, the printer and other connected gadgets collectively or singly work well, only when properly wired through the CPU. Systems similarly co-ordinate a whole lot of things, from small to big, employees, clients, finances, day-to-day production, targets for manufacturing or selling, pricing, logistics, billing and of course returns as profits.

Sky is the Limit:

One central office for example in the HQ of McDonalds functions across the nation or even globe only due to a well developed system, that caters to customers, production techniques, employee dress, franchises and meeting any contingencies apart from the primary activity of hamburger making and selling. What one sees is a vibrant example of a well oiled mechanism, which works for the business owner/s whether present or absent on a 24/7 basis, round the year.

Specifics to small business:

A well-developed system can impart multifold benefits to the small business and can range from employee relations to customers to profits. Everyone from new employees to specialists get to know what each one has to do, where, when and how. At the same time, innovative talents and creativity can get noted and result in a win-win situation for both the persons and the business. Even minor deviations can get detected and corrected early and thus prove beneficial to the business.

Systems lead to continued success:

Whether the owner or any key employee is present or not, a well designed system provides the surest way to continued success in small business, more by the adoption of effective business plans that meet or exceed the expectations of all the stakeholders. Systems surely pave the way for running business successfully and small business even better.

HR Systems

The human resource system is a core enterprise application for managing administrative and strategic processes related to an organization's most critical asset, its people. Effective and prompt management of the 'human capital' is a complex, but imperative activity to all human resource professionals. The functions of HR consists of tracking multitudinous data on each employee, which includes personal history, personal data, skills, capabilities, work experience, remuneration records, etc. To reduce the workload of HR professionals, organizations automated many of these processes by introducing Human Resource Management Systems.

The client-server HR management systems are mainly developed around four principal areas of HR functionalities: payroll, time and labor management, administration, and HR management. Popular electronic HR management solution includes SAP, Oracle, Lawson, PeopleSoft, and Microsoft. A wide range of companies provide software solutions to various HR functions such as attendance software packages, payroll processing, etc. HR management system products typically comprise of a series of modules that can be integrated to act as a single system covering a wide range of HR functions.

The introduction of HR management system not only reduces administrative burden of HR departments, but also provides easier access to HR data, greater reporting functionality, more consistent and accurate data, higher internal profile, and efficient and standardized processes. These HR systems enable increasingly sophisticated functionality giving companies the opportunity to automate routine transactions to line managers and to employees themselves. It also lays the foundation for e-HR strategy, which would include e-learning and e-recruitment processes.

The process of choosing and implementing a new HR management system can be a major project both in terms of money and time. The HR management should take the lead from the outset to ensure that the system matches the core needs of the HR department. The level of functionality of the HR management system should be determined by the naturalistic requirements of a particular organization. Because of the high capital necessary to install this application software, human resource management systems are limited to medium and large organizations. In large organizations, the HR executives mostly rely on the internal software professionals to develop and maintain the HR management systems.

Retail Intelligence - Improving Sales Through CCTV Systems

If you think security is the primary reason stores put up CCTV systems, think again. They are not there to watch shoplifters; they are there to count people.

Security Versus Sales

The British bed store, Dreams, had CCTV systems installed for two reasons: the first, marketing; the second, security.

Dreams' use video surveillance shows a strong trend surfacing in the market in recent years. Stores put up CCTV systems not so much to prevent losses, but to increase sales. This is a logical move. While shoplifters and negligent employees cause stores to lose money, these losses are minimal compared to loss of potential earnings.

Monitoring Foot Traffic

Foot traffic is important to business owners and managers, and this is where CCTV systems come in. Cameras map store traffic. They show patterns of movement from department to department, from floor to floor. They show, for example, where customers are most likely to pass to get to Department X after exiting Department Z.

In malls, areas with the heaviest foot traffic are the costliest to rent. In stores, the same areas are where latest or the most steeply-priced products are displayed. Dreams knew this, and thus had CCTV systems mounted.

Why Count People?

Stores count visitors to monitor sales. A decline in foot traffic could only mean one thing: reduced sales. After all, with fewer people entering stores, fewer purchases would be made. CCTV systems, used together with need-specific software, are able to alert owners and managers to decreases in visitor density. These people could, in turn, take corrective action.

Uses of CCTV Systems in Marketing

1. Pinpointing desirable location

Cameras can show which areas draw the most visits from people. Decision-makers can use this data to evaluate the impact of decoration themes or adjust rent in relation to traffic value.

2. Revealing the hold factor

The "hold" factor is the ability of any merchandise or store area to make customers stay. CCTV systems can provide answers to questions like:

a) How long do customers stay inside one section of the store?

b) Which area or item do they take the most time to look at?

3. Optimizing promotional spending

CCTV systems help store owners and managers identify areas where advertisements would have the most impact. Marketing teams can then use this information to plan store layout and promotional strategies.

4. Evaluating stock levels

CCTV systems can, at a glance, reveal empty shelves or fast-thinning supplies. This is particularly useful in stores so huge it will take weeks to conduct a complete inventory of items sold and unsold.

5. Improving customer service

Data captured by CCTV systems tell key personnel how many customers flock to the store during certain times of the day. This data is very useful in designating how many employees to assign and where. Frequently, long lines at cash registers frustrate shoppers and cause them to do their buying elsewhere. Identifying prime selling hours and areas will help stores keep their valued clients.

Each shopper that walks through the door represents potential profit. With the right CCTV systems and software, store owners and managers can convert more and more profit potential into actual sale. What businessman could say no to that?

DaimlerChrysler Cars To Be Equipped With BorgWarner All-Wheel Drive System

The Chrysler Group recently announced that their 2007 Chrysler Sebring and the 2008 Dodge Avenger will be equipped with a technologically advanced drive system. The said cars will be outfitted with BorgWarner?s Interactive Torque Management (ITM 3e) system. The technology will enhance the Sebring?s and the Avenger?s stability, performance and fuel efficiency as well. BorgWarner?s ITM 3e system is already being used by the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica and has already made a lot of good impression on the motoring public. The technology that the Sebring and the avenger will employ is only one of the torque management system products of BorgWarner and it is the latest technology developed by the said company.

Cindy Niekamp, the President and General Manager of BorgWarner TorqTransfer Systems, is pleased to provide another driving system for the Chrysler Group. ?We are proud to launch another front-wheel, all-wheel drive application with DaimlerChrysler, using BorgWarner?s new ITM 3e system. Niekamp also stated that with the successful integration of the system to the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica, it is logical for other DaimlerChrysler cars to use the same driving technology. The use of the system on cars enhances their traction, stability, and handling. All of which are vital to give a car a great fuel efficiency and superior performance not to mention keeping the occupants a peace of mind knowing that the car will not be prone to rollover.?

BorgWarner will supply the necessary hardware to the Chrysler Group to integrate the said system to their mass produced cars. Aside from the hardware components the company will also provide the needed electronic systems and software controls. The company will also provide DaimlerChrysler with the required vehicle integration support. These wares are part of BorgWarner?s commitment to provide the car manufacturer competent service. The integration of the said system to DaimlerChrysler cars will be a joint effort on the car manufacturer and the vehicle powertrain applications provider. With the necessary tools provided by BorgWarner and the competency of the Chrysler Group, it will not come as a surprise if the Chrysler Sebring and the Dodge Avenger come out of their assembly plants as finely tuned cars.

The driving system developed by BorgWarner uses technologically advanced controls to detect slip on the car?s wheels and effortlessly transfer power from the engine to the said wheel. The technology only needs a couple of milliseconds to convert both the Sebring and the Avenger from a front-wheel drive car to an all-wheel drive vehicle. This is just as fast as a Volvo radiator fan can respond to the radiators? cooling needs. The radical technology allows the Sebring and the Avenger to have great traction not only on the front wheels but on the rear wheels as well.

During high speed driving the system, without human intervention, such a system decreases the power being provided to the rear wheels. This innovative technology allows the car it is equipped with to have better fuel economy than other vehicles with an all-wheel drive configuration.

The system is not only convenient in the sense that it increases a car?s fuel efficiency, handling and stability. It is also developed to be compatible with other car safety systems. The anti-lock brake system can effortlessly complement the technology to provide better driving safety. Another vehicle system that can work with the ITM 3e system is the electronic stability that is featured on most currently mass produced vehicles. The use of the ITM 3e system integrated with both the anti-lock brake system and the electronic stability feature greatly increases the stability and traction of a car as well as providing safety and comfort to the driver and passengers of a car it is integrated to.

Synchronised Digital Clock Systems

This article discusses the methods utilised to achieve synchronised digital clock time displays throughout an organisation. Focusing particularly on Ethernet Networked NTP Digital Wall Clock Systems utilising Power-over-Ethernet.

Synchronised digital clocks allow a number of individual time clock displays to show identical accurate time. Individual stand-alone digital clocks each drift at different rates eventually all display differing times. This article discusses the methods utilised to achieve synchronised digital clock time displays throughout an organisation.

Radio-Controlled Digital Clock

Many digital clocks are available with radio receivers that synchronise to radio time broadcasts that are freely available in many areas. Time and frequency broadcasts such as the DCF-77 broadcast from Germany, the MSF-60 broadcast from the UK and the WWVB broadcast from the US. These time and frequency broadcasts provide an accurate timing reference for digital clocks to synchronise. However, often installation problems are encountered due to the fact that in particular locations the radio signal quality may be very low or even non-existent. Mounting radio-controlled digital clocks in basements or inside metal structures or too close to electrically noisy equipment can all cause radio reception difficulties. Also, radio transmissions are local to the transmitter and do not extend beyond a finite range.

Wired Digital Clock Systems

Many synchronised digital clock systems operate on a bespoke serial network. They utilise a multi-drop RS422 or RS485 wired serial network. Each clock is generally mains powered at the point of installation. The digital clocks synchronise to a master clock on the wired network that may be synchronised to a GPS or radio external time reference. Only an optimally located single external timing receiver is required to synchronise all the clocks. The advantage of such systems is that the equipment costs are fairly low. However, this can often be outweighed by the installation costs of a dedicated network for the clock system.

Ethernet NTP Digital Clock Systems

Ethernet NTP digital wall clock time displays utilise NTP over Ethernet to display a continuously accurate synchronised time. The digital clocks connect directly to an Ethernet network and periodically synchronise using SNTP to a NTP Time Server.

Ethernet NTP digital clock time displays are available with four-inch high numerals with four or six digits. The large time display makes the clocks easily visible from a distance of up to 150 feet. The large wall clock obtains time from an intranet or Internet based NTP server, to provide an accurate time display, synchronised to one-fifth of a second. Ethernet NTP digital wall clocks operate with any NTP or SNTP time resource such as a dedicated NTP Time Server. Additionally, the units can utilise Internet based time sources, such as NIST.

For simplicity of operation, synchronised digital clocks are Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) devices (IEEE 802.af) using the same network components as IP telephones. The large digital wall clocks plug into an Ethernet jack on a local area network. No mains socket is required; the device is powered from the network jack plug. Installation is therefore very straightforward, and it's easy to move units around.

A synchronised Ethernet NTP digital clock system has a number of advantages. Firstly, installation costs are reduced due to the use ?common' network components, such as CAT5 and Ethernet hubs and switches. In many cases the network infrastructure may already be present. Additionally, no mains spur is required at the clock location, reducing installation costs. The clocks can also reference multiple time sources in the event of failure of a time reference.

The devices are powered over standard CAT5 cabling using Power-over-Ethernet (IEEE 802.af), the same Ethernet standard as Voice-over-IP telephones. If your network is not PoE enabled, single or multi-port mid-span converters (power injectors) are available at very reasonable cost.

Ethernet NTP Digital Clock Configuration

Networked digital clocks can easily be configured from any PC on the same network segment as the clocks. Configuration simply consists of opening a telnet session to a specified clock and entering password information. Once a connection is established there are a number of configuration commands available to the administrator. All digital clocks can therefore be configured from a single point.

Time Zone Configuration

NTP Ethernet digital clocks can be configured to the display local time in any time zone. There are a number of pre-configured common time zones that can easily be selected. AlternativelyScience Articles, any time zone and daylight saving configuration can be specified by supplying offsets and daylight saving start and end times.
